I have been playing guitar and singing since high school. During my college summers, I traveled the United States singing in a folk/gospel group called The New Pace. We were sponsored by the evangelism department of the American Lutheran Church. We visited churches in twenty four states, singing and proclaiming the gospel to many people, young and old.
In college, Golden Valley Lutheran College, I sang in a group, The Proclamation, singing mostly on campus. We did travel some with the college admissions department, singing in churches and high schools. We told everyone about the college and encouraged high school students to consider joining us on campus.
I learned much in those years. This is when I started writing. Through the years I have added songs to my list. Ideas come from many different sources. I have been inspired by a bible verse on the wall of a church, a sermon at a Lenten service, a scripture reading, and many others. Sometimes the song starts with the music, sometimes with the words.
I am now in a trio, Rainfall, with two very good friends, Mike Forsberg and Lee Gilbertson. Lee is a great guitar player and also writes music. Mike plays bass, excellent bass. The three of us have great fun singing, playing, laughing, and praising. I am lucky to have such great friends!
